About is design. A young studio with Mediterranean roots that seeks the perfect balance between beauty and function, timelessness and trend, simplicity, and elegance.

This is what Isabel Rojo reflects in her work since founding About in 2018. A studio where product design, graphic design, and communication projects are carried out.

Outlier is an emerging creative studio where projects in industrial design, art direction, and photography are developed. It is the result of the synergy of a team of designers who, with the same philosophy and varied skills, merge their ideas with harmonious results imbued with sensitivity and rigor.

The essence of their work is the result of a great admiration for materials and appreciation for detail. Their designs are based on the exploration of natural forms; as elevated as they are simple, they inspire the curves, joints, and details of furniture pieces, lighting, and even textiles.

Rodrigo Torres

Colombian-Italian designer specialized in product design. Graduated from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University (Bogota, Colombia), with a master’s degree in product design from the Domus Academy in Milan. In 2004, he founded his studio and has collaborated with famous international brands in Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America.

He has been awarded multiple times: Design award, Red dot award, Spark design award, Good Design Award, Cooper Hewitt National Design Awards, Architectural Record, International Design Awards.

Jorge Diego Etienne

A highly talented industrial designer with a global perspective on design. Holding a degree in Industrial Design, his experience includes a specialization at Feiz Design Studio in Amsterdam, workshops with leading global design companies, and courses at renowned design schools such as Central Saint Martins in London, Domus Academy in Milan, and Parsons, the New School of Design in New York. Upon returning to Mexico, he founded his own design school, Estudio, which creates products for Mexican and international brands showcased in exhibitions worldwide.

Johanna Jacobson Backman

He grew up in a family that manufactured heavy industrial production machinery and soon showed his interest in production processes. After completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in design, he launched his own studio, focused on product design. A multidisciplinary space that also offers branding services and creative direction for companies that want to go beyond traditional ways of building a brand.

Industrial designer who stands out for merging the complex process of digital manufacturing with the beauty of Mexican craftsmanship and its essence. Along with his team, he founded his design studio bearing his name: Víctor Alemán Studio. His innovative spirit has led him to capture his unique style in internationally acclaimed products, including the Red Dot Luminary Award, one of the most important design awards in the world.

Eli Gutiérrez

Cosmopolitan designer, trained in Valencia and London. In 2017, after living in Milan and
Paris where she collaborated with Patricia Urquiola, Philippe Starck, and India Mahdavi, she
founded her own studio developing projects in product design, installations, textiles, and
other disciplines.

The foundation of each of her projects is characterized by a marked sensitivity that is clear
and elegant, which is articulated around the material, color, function, and detail of each
element she designs. There is a constant search to combine craftsmanship with the
observation of new technologies to bring innovation and character while maintaining
timelessness and simplicity in each of the projects she carries out.
